10 Journal Prompts for Overcoming Depression and Anxiety.

Journaling is an incredibly powerful, yet simple, tool that allows us to open up and clear our minds. I find that journaling can help reduce my anxiety and prevent me from overthinking worries further.

When suffering from anxiety or depression it can often feel like the whole world is weighing down on you. For me, it feels like I have a million different worries, thoughts and fears rushing through my mind - yet I still feel numb.

I know I find it hard to find the words to describe how I feel. That's why I started journaling. It gives you a safe space to let all your emotions out.

I've compiled the 10 journal prompts that are perfect for helping clear your mind.

  1. List 5 things (people, objects, hobbies) that make you happy.

  2. What do you wish you could change in your life right now? Why?

  3. What do you need to let go of in your life right now?

  4. What made you happy today?

  5. What made you unhappy today?

  6. Who are 3 people you admire? Why?

  7. What does your inner critic say?

  8. Brain dump all of your worries this week.

  9. What things have your mental health prevented you from doing?

  10. What is one thing struggling with your mental health has taught you?

I hope you find these journal prompts helpful! Please take care of yourself in this weird time.

Until next time, Katie x
